"All my work is guided by having fun and a feeling of light-heartedness. I am currently working on slab built, high fired stoneware vessels, totems and sculptures. The work is expressive in form and contrasting colour and their major aim is to bring joy and happy brightness into a living space, sometimes with a tongue-in-cheek playfulness. Visual inspiration comes from many modern sources such as the Memphis Group, Modern Architecture, artists such as Dubuffet, Miro as well as Folk Art." - Carin Dorrington
