"My work explores the dynamic, translucent surface of the ocean—a space of constant transformation where light, motion, and depth collide. Moving away from traditional seascapes and static horizons, my semi-abstract oil paintings focus on the complex mechanics of the water’s surface. I am endlessly fascinated by the way light refracts through shifting currents, creating liquid lattices, fluid distortions, and fleeting reflections. Through carefully built layers of oil paint, I translate these atmospheric interactions into multidimensional compositions. The surface of the sea becomes a canvas of living rhythm: ripples hold luminous colour, shadows suggest vastness below, and surface tension balances clarity with abstraction."
