Pippa Pereira

"Pippa Pereira is a South African born artist based in Cape Town. Having studied both Graphic Design and Fashion Design, her work currently undertakes to visually marry her love for both. Her inspiration primarily stems from a fascination with disparate cultural adornment - be it facial tattoos, piercings, or hairstyles - and recontextualizing it to challenge the viewer's concept of 'pretty'. She chooses to mainly work in gouache as it lends itself well to her penchant for a more illustrative style and fine line work."
