Shaune Rogatschnig

Shaune Rogatschnig, as a local girl, draws from observation of the natural landscapes around her, being exposed to their vibrant evocative colours. Inspired by the intangible meaning of Japanese wabi sabi, it reminds us that everything is impermanent, incomplete, and imperfect. Using mixed media, collage and/or oils, Shaune works to discover each subject’s intrinsic beauty through a repeated layering process. The ebb and flow in life dances across her more recent artworks, where she leans towards intuition and abstraction.
