"As with many of my artworks the inspiration for these works comes from stories, fables, fairy tales, folklore and design. I'm fascinated and intrigued by the history and origin of stories, and how they have changed and evolved with time. I create the artworks by first drawing the images then I proceed to break them down into simplified designs, after that I layer them back into three-dimensional form, using LED lights. By using these much-loved stories as inspiration, I try not to merely tell them in my own way, but also bring them to life, to let them shine like light in the darkness." - Will Roux
