  • Dylan Whale | INK BOX ART

INTERESTED IN THIS ARTIST'S WORK? CLICK HERE TO CONTACT US: Mail Dylan Whale I work across the fields of Education, Ecology, and the Arts. As such I work with several tentacles touching the world, as an Educational Sociologist, Political Ecologist, multi-media artist, theatre and film maker. The closest thing I have to a religion is the place where ecology, story and mythology meet. I am constantly entranced by the power of public storytelling as a mechanism for healing, empathy, meaning-making and fostering inclusive forms of governance in complex social-ecological entanglements. My areas of research span a wide spectrum, including Transgressive Social Learning, Public Pedagogy, Theatre-based Research, Arts-based Research, Visual anthropology, legal anthropology, Queer Eco-Pedagogy, Post-humanism, New Materialism, and critical African feminist approaches to co-engaged research. She is interested in taking a theme or a subject matter, working and re-working it and watching it evolve and change. Her current work draws on endless references found in nature, namely flowers, and she represents these blooms and foliage in a manner that recalls, but does not quite mimic, reality. • Lulu Luvski | INK BOX ART

INTERESTED IN THIS ARTIST'S WORK? CLICK HERE TO CONTACT US: Mail Lulu Luvski 'Lulu Luvski is a pseudonymous South African- based visual artist specializing in painting and sculpture. Active since 2023, his whimsical and satirical works have been described as “pop-art, but with a sloppier and more hand-made feel”. He refers to his work as “absurdist-illustrations”. Or “slop-art”. Luvski’s preferred method of painting on Plexiglas in reverse, and his exclusive use of flat colours combined with simple childlike drawing gives his paintings a screen-printed look. His sculptures are made from wax-based clay/ air-dry clay and are then moulded and cast in either resin or bronze. His art making philosophy is simple: life writes and he illustrates. Part spy/observer, part artist, he insists that his art “happens to him”. Seemingly insignificant events are celebrated by ending up in his paintings and sculptures. “The initial idea-spark is everything, and needs to be captured and served up as fresh as possible. Subsequent over-thinking, re-drawing and tweaking just tends to water it down and fizzles it out”. His favourite place is balancing right on the edge of life’s endless but beautiful absurdities, where things could either tip over into a quirky sculpture or fall slap-bang into a wonky painting. Luvski never attends the party, but still paints it.' - Lulu Luvski SUMMERTIME FIASCO Lulu Luvski Acrylics reverse painted on Plexiglass 60 x 60 cm R10,000 JAR KING Lulu Luvski Resin sculpture (#2 / 16) 18 x 35 x 18 cm R12,000 YES Lulu Luvski Acrylics reverse painted on Plexiglass 60 x 60 cm R10,000 LITTLE BOSS Lulu Luvski Bronze sculpture (#4 / 24) 8 x 12,5 x 8 cm R13,500

  • Corne Eksteen | INK BOX ART

INTERESTED IN THIS ARTIST'S WORK? CLICK HERE TO CONTACT US: Mail Corne Eksteen Corné (Cornelis Johannes) Eksteen is a Contemporary figurative painter, renowned for his "vibrational" portraits, still lifes and landscapes that loosely relate to the Disrupted Realism painting movement. His work relies on Figurative, Abstract, Optical and Pattern Art influences in the creation of pieces that explore the subjective nature of the early 21st century psyche in the face of unprecedented technological and social transformations. Currently works are created from reference photos taken in the studio or on site. They are printed and cut into vertical or horizontal strips. Every second strip is removed from the image leaving only sections of the original image intact. This segmented image is transferred to the canvas and during the painting process each omitted strip is painted as a mirror image of the previous strip. It’s a complex process of reproducing the visible strip in the reference photo and creating a mirror image of it, while maintaining a visual connection with the following strip in the image. The result is that lines and forms in the image starts to resemble sinusoidal wave forms. Parts of the image will get changed or broken down to pattern for which patterned wrapping paper or wallpaper often serves as inspiration. Works are primarily produced alla prima. • Arno Morland | INK BOX ART

INTERESTED IN THIS ARTIST'S WORK? CLICK HERE TO CONTACT US: Mail Arno Morland “Being human is hard work. There’s a lot of detail to get through and a very firm deadline. For the most part, you just have to keep your head down and get it done. There isn’t much time to stand back and take in the bigger picture. Unless, of course, it’s your job. There are people like that. Take me, for instance. I have to zoom out until we all become small in the distance. Then I have to report what I see. Think of a drone hovering far above the admin. It’s not really that I see anything new or different from there. You don’t grow infra-red sensors when you use a wide-angle lens. It’s something else. Something more like the way you look at things. You see all those hot little explosions of love and ambition, fear and elation that drive us onward, inward, together and apart and a compassionate smile inadvertently forms around the corners of your mouth. How can one not love this messy humanity: it’s indefatigable striving; it’s restless feeling about in the dark; it’s child-like hope? We are tragic, comical and glorious! I send you these sculptures and paintings from over there. Because I love you. Because I want you to know that when you look backwards and forwards at your life like it’s a movie you’ve seen before, you are not out of place. You belong in the world. You are one of us. We’re in this together.” - Arno Morland in those days peoples hearts were light and they flew everywhere Arno Morland Acrylic on canvas 78 x 63 x 4cm (framed) R23,550 Beware of love if you don't enjoy feeling good Arno Morland Acrylic on canvas 78 x 63 x 4cm (framed) R21,550 - JOB - the bad news is you are falling the good news is there is no ground. INTERESTED IN THIS ARTIST'S WORK? CLICK HERE TO CONTACT US: Mail Simone Tavares Simone is a Cape Town-based analogue collage artist whose work is deeply rooted in storytelling and visual poetry. With a background in graphic design, she brings a keen eye for composition, narrative, and intricate detail to every piece she creates. Using vintage paper ephemera salvaged from forgotten books, weathered maps, and timeworn postcards, Simone weaves together fragments of the past to create entirely new stories. Her collages evoke a haunting sense of nostalgia—an invitation to find beauty in imperfection and meaning in the discarded. Each piece is a quiet reminder that what is overlooked can still become something remarkable. • Will Roux | INK BOX ART

INTERESTED IN THIS ARTIST'S WORK? CLICK HERE TO CONTACT US: Mail Will Roux "As with many of my artworks the inspiration for these works comes from stories, fables, fairy tales, folklore and design. I'm fascinated and intrigued by the history and origin of stories, and how they have changed and evolved with time. I create the artworks by first drawing the images then I proceed to break them down into simplified designs, after that I layer them back into three-dimensional form, using LED lights. By using these much-loved stories as inspiration, I try not to merely tell them in my own way, but also bring them to life, to let them shine like light in the darkness." - Will Roux Feathered Fractals Will Roux Hand-Cutting on Paper 26 X 26cm R1,800 Wildflower Canvas Will Roux Hand-Cutting on Paper 22 x 24cm R1,600 Aerial Serenade Will Roux Hand-Cutting on Paper 26 X 26cm R1,800 Mirrored Memories: A Pierced Past Will Roux Digital Photo on Mirror Board, Hand Piercing 39 x 30cm R3,500 Latitudinal Lines: A Pierced Planet Will Roux Digital Photo on Mirror Board, Hand Piercing 39 x 30cm R3,500 Endless Echo: A Vultures Journey Will Roux Digital Image and Hand Embroidery 31.5 x 47.5cm R4,000 Kringe in die Vuur 1 Will Roux Laser-cutting on board & Charcoal 30 cm diameter R2,000 Kringe in die Vuur 2 Will Roux Laser-cutting on board & Charcoal 30 cm diameter R2,000 Untamed Eden Will Roux Hand-Cutting on Paper 22 x 24cm SOLD Serenading Shadows Will Roux Hand-Cutting on Paper 26 X 26cm SOLD Grounded Hope Will Roux Hand-Cutting on Paper 33 x 32cm SOLD The Collective Unconscious Will Roux Laser-Cutting, Hand Embroidery and Piercing 38 x 52cm SOLD Echoes of the Artic: A Penguins Story Will Roux Digital Image and Hand Embroidery 31.5 x 47.5cm SOLD Luminous Labyrinth Will Roux Hand-Cutting on Paper 47 x 47cm SOLD

  • Ruan Jooste | INK BOX ART

INTERESTED IN THIS ARTIST'S WORK? CLICK HERE TO CONTACT US: Mail Ruan Jooste "I was born and raised in Nigel, a small town in Gauteng southeast of Johannesburg. As a young child I was always drawing, seeking creative outlets. Initially pursuing a passion in fashion design, but soon turned my focus to photography, teaching myself the necessary skills. This previous experience in design and photography culminated in my current digital art practice over recent years. I’ve also had the privilege to work and live in different places in the world. I have lived in Pretoria, Toronto, Joburg, Phuket, and now Cape town. I believe all these different places have given me a perspective of human nature and a philosophy that I apply to my everyday life, which is that we as human beings are more the same than we are different. My approach is the playful blending of luxury fashion elements and South African brand iconography. The nostalgia these well-known local brands hold for so many of us a reminder of our shared memories and associations, a connecting device. “We as South Africans so often focus on what makes us different that we forget how much we are alike. In my mind I want my subjects to form a part of a united tribe, one of courage, positivity and joy.” I always want to add a sense of charm, sass and attitude in my fictional portraits that allude to Magic Realism, but with a local, urban grit. The subjects convey an unapologetic sense of pride, freedom, and self-love. I like to craft a real-world context around these created characters informed by the backstory imagined for each subject while creating and composing the image. With many of the images employing principles of classic portraiture, there is also an unapologetic self-assurance and playfulness that grounds the work in the present. A composition and pose at once acknowledge the Classic tradition, but simultaneously embrace the ‘selfie’ culture of today. I want to continue to invite you into my world where anything and everything is possible, where old meets new, where no one is bound by the shackles of societal pressure." - Ruan Jooste CHECKERS & A GUINEA FOWL Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A2 Framed IN STOCK: R10,800 A0: R18,000 A1: R13,000 A2: R9,000 BOSS LADY Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A2 Framed IN STOCK: R16,800 A0 Print: SOLD OUT A1 Print: SOLD OUT A2 Print: SOLD OUT SPAR & A JACK RUSSELL Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0: R18,000 A1: SOLD OUT A2: R9,000 FAST FINANCE & A BEER Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0: R18,000 A1: R13,000 A2: R9,000 OMO & A CASTLE OF HOPE Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0: R18,000 A1: R13,000 A2: R9,000 HIGH TEA & A HOTEL Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A00: R50,000 A0: SOLD OUT A1: R13,000 TO CARRY A NATION Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 in stock A0: SOLD OUT A00: R55,000 THE WEIGHT OF WHAT REMAINS Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 A0: R25,000 A00: R55,000 MEMORIES YELLOW GLOW Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 A0: R25,000 A00: R55,000 CARRYING MY OWN Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 A0: R25,000 A00: R55,000 SHE WHO CARRIES THE CROWN Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 A0: R25,000 A00: R55,000 THE SILENT NEGOTIATION Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 A0: R25,000 A00: R55,000 SENTINEL OF THE SWAN Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 A0: R25,000 A00: R55,000 WHAT THE WATER HOLDS Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 In Stock A0: R25,000 A00: R55,000 CAN YOU FEEL IT Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 A0: R25,000 A00: R55,000 MY DARLING ADRIFT Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 A0: R25,000 A00: R55,000 BROTHERS OF THE CURRENT Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A1: R19,000 A0: R25,000 A00: R55,000 BREAD & BACKDOOR Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0 Print: R18,000 A1 Print: R13,000 A2 Print: R9,000 MINIMARK & TELEPHONE Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0 Print: R18,000 A1 Print: R13,000 A2 Print: R9,000 WIMPY & LAUNDRY LINE Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0 Print: R18,000 A1 Print: R13,000 A2 Print: R9,000 NIKNAKS & A CARACAL Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0: R18,000 A1: R13,000 A2: R9,000 LEKKA BUBBLEGUM Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0 Print: SOLD OUT A1 Print: R19,000 A2 Print: R15,000 SHOPPING BAGS & A FLOWER DRESS Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0: R18,000 A1: R13,000 A2: R9,000 LEATHER JACKET & A PERFUME SHOP Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0: R18,000 A1: R13,000 A2: R9,000 FRENCH POLONY.jpg Ruan Jooste High Quality Prints A0 Print: R21,000 A1 Print: R15,000 A2 Print: R12,000
